About Me
My name is Jordan Gloor, a human living in the US midwest and using he/him pronouns. I'm passionate about hot tea, music, and technology. If you've ever looked up how to do something on your phone or computer, you've probably read something I either edited or wrote.
I've been in journalism since 2019. I've written mostly about tech, but I got my start writing about agriculture and local history at Ozarks Farm & Neighbor. I then started writing technology guides at MakeUseOf before moving onto How-To Geek in 2021 as a technical content editor. At different times I oversaw the entire desktop segement, the Linux and Programming sections, and simply wrote my own content.
My hobbies include building out mesh communication networks and contributing to OpenStreetMap. I've also been getting into MusicBrainz contribution lately, and one of my party tricks is guessing by ear what year a song was released.
